In an event such as the Tour de Brisbane, it can be quite intimidating to ride in large groups. There are a few simple guidelines you should follow to make sure you stay safe in the peloton;
Eyes up at all times
Keep your line
Don’t move to the front through the middle of the bunch
No overlapping wheels
Signal if rolling off the front
No reversing when standing up to pedal
Make allowance for skill, and possible unpredictable riding of fellow riders
Do not harass fellow riders
Signal with your hand if overtaking
Stay shoulder to shoulder, handlebar to handlebar with the riders around you
