7.3 Line of Sight

Lesson 3: Line of Sight and Communication:

The following diagram demonstrates what should be in your line of sight and how to communicate with your crossing partner. Stand on the side of your crossing away from the flow of riders, this will allow you to stop the pedestrians on your right side. This means that your line of sight will include both the incoming cyclists and the pedestrians trying to cross.
Communicate to your crossing partner when you identify a gap in incoming cyclists. You must wait until you have a gap in cyclists on both sides of the road before pedestrians can cross.
